Guitarist Rastko Marinković will perform in Belgrade as part of the “Sezona mladih” (Season of the Young) concert series, at the Guarnerius Art Centre (12 Džordža Vašingtona Street), on Tuesday, May 5, starting at 7 PM. Admission is free, with mandatory prior registration.
Rastko Marinković began his musical education in his hometown of Zrenjanin, where he developed a passion for classical guitar, and is currently a Master’s student at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, in the class of Margarita Escarpa. During his studies, he has won numerous first prizes at international competitions and performed across Europe, including in Italy, Austria, Germany, Poland, and Hungary. Alongside his solo career, he is actively engaged in chamber music, particularly in a violin–guitar duo, with a special focus on works by Spanish and Latin American composers.
Following his performance in Belgrade, he is scheduled to give a concert in Salzburg and embark on a tour of Sicily.
His performance at the Guarnerius represents the fourth concert within the fourth concert cycle of the “Sezona mladih”, dedicated to emerging artists. The first concert cycle of Radio Belgrade 2 dedicated to young musicians was launched in 2023 on the occasion of the programme’s 65th anniversary under the title “Najbolji mladi pijanisti” (The Best Young Pianists). Due to the strong audience response and positive feedback, the cycle was continued through several seasons, and the fourth edition of “Sezona mladih” began on February 3, 2025, featuring nine concerts, some of which also include other genres, while classical music remains the core focus.
The program o May 5, 2026 features works by Villa-Lobos, Mertz, Bach, Piazzolla, Tedesco, de Falla, and Rodrigo, as well as “Šest balkanskih minijatura” (Six Balkan Miniatures) by Dušan Bogdanović.

The concert is organized in collaboration with Radio Belgrade 2, the Guarnerius Art Centre, and the RTS Music Production, and will be broadcast live on Radio Belgrade 2. The editor and host of the “Sezona mladih” series and the concert broadcast is Ana Ćirica.
