“Vrati se”: Naked & Lakatos Mónika FolkTrió Release New Video Ahead of the Album “Neked”

The new music video for “Vrati se” by Naked & Lakatos Mónika FolkTrió was released on May 28 via the official YouTube channel of the band Naked, as an announcement of the upcoming album “Neked”, set for online release on June 2 through Adriatica Records.

“Vrati se” brings a wistful and elegiac atmosphere, rooted in the distinctive blend of contemporary songwriting and influences drawn from Pannonian and Balkan musical traditions for which these musicians are widely recognized. The video was filmed last summer at Lake Balaton in Hungary, aboard an old train “preserved from the ravages of time”, as described by Naked member Branislav Radojković.

“One afternoon was enough for us to realize what we had planned and to improvise in the moment with light and shadow”, says Radojković.

The filming process, however, also unfolded amid a series of unpredictable circumstances: “There were quite a few comic and disruptive elements that day – the July heat inside a Jurassic-era train carriage, the uncontrolled shaking of the wagons, and the cameramen trying to maintain balance and focus”.

Speaking about the atmosphere of the video, Radojković emphasizes that the song deals with “the inevitable passage of time, unfulfilled dreams, and longing for youth”, while “the old wooden train carriages and the Pannonian plain perfectly reflected the elegiac mood of the song”.

The director of photography is Vladimir Jević, who also served as cinematographer together with Anika Lomić. Vladimir Jević also edited the video together with Branislav Radojković, who was additionally responsible for directing the video. Actress Jovana Trošić appears in the video. The music production was signed by Goran Milošević and Branislav Radojković, who is also the composer, while audio mixing and mastering were handled by Goran Milošević.

The Naked & Lakatos Mónika FolkTrió project features Branislav Radojković (bass), Goran Milošević (drums), Đorđe Mijušković (violin), Rastko Uzunović (clarinet and tenor saxophone), Antal Máté Kovács (percussion), Mihály Mazsi Rostás (guitar and vocals), and Mónika Lakatos (vocals), with guest appearance by Đorđe Kujundžić on alto saxophone.
