Renowned Armenian pianist and composer Tigran Hamasyan will perform on April 26 at the Great Hall of the Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade.
The audience will have the opportunity to hear his recently released album “Manifeste”, a powerful fusion of jazz improvisation, progressive rock, and Armenian folk heritage.
Hamasyan returns to Belgrade after nearly 15 years, following his appearance at the 27th Belgrade Jazz Festival. This time, he will perform with a four-piece band, promising a richer sound and a more dynamic live experience.
The new album “Manifeste” (2026) was recorded in studios across the world, including Yerevan, Athens, Moscow, and Los Angeles. It blends rhythmic complexity, Armenian folk roots, choral mysticism, and cinematic soundscapes. Hamasyan describes his music-making process as a search for answers–through sound–about who we are and how to stay connected to what is deeply human within us.
International critics describe Hamasyan as a virtuoso who merges intricate rhythms with ethereal vocals and flawless technique. His work has been praised by leading artists such as Herbie Hancock, Brad Mehldau, and the late Chick Corea. NPR described his music as: “You won’t hear anything else like this”.
Tickets for the concert, organized by Sonic Frontier Promotions, are available at the box office of the Kolarac Endowment and online via tigranbg.com.
