Thai funk sensation Yīn Yīn to make their Serbian debut in mid-March
Belgrade will finally host the premiere Serbian performance of Dutch band Yīn Yīn on March 17, 2026, at Zappa Baza. This cult collective brings its psychedelic funk, interwoven with Thai and Laotian melodies of the 1970s, transforming it into an irresistible dance spectacle.

After conquering festival stages across Europe, from “Roskilde Festival” to “Trans Musicales”, Yīn Yīn are coming to Serbia for the first time, promising an evening filled with exotic sounds, hypnotic rhythms, and infectious energy.

The audience can expect a unique musical journey that bridges East and West, retro and modern, analog and digital. On this occasion, the band will also promote their new album “Yatta!”, released in January 23, 2026.

Early bird tickets have sold out. Advance tickets are priced at 2,900 RSD and are available via Gigstix, while tickets purchased on the day of the concert (if still available) will cost 3,500 RSD. Physical tickets can also be purchased at Katakombe Bar (Knez Miletina 45, Dorćol). Two days earlier, also organized by Hengtajm, the band will perform at Zagreb’s Boogaloo club.

Yīn Yīn are a psychedelic funk quartet from Maastricht, the Netherlands, who in recent years have been taking the European and global scene by storm with their danceable, eclectic, and genre-defying sound. The band combines elements of 1970s Thai and Laotian funk, disco grooves, surf guitar, and electronics into a distinctive musical cocktail.

Their debut album “The Rabbit That Hunts Tigers” (2019, Bongo Joe) drew significant attention for its originality and freshness, while the follow-up “The Age of Aquarius” (2022, Glitterbeat) further cemented their status as one of the most exciting live acts on the circuit, a reputation continued with “Mount Matsu” (2024, Glitterbeat).

Coming from diverse musical backgrounds – from indie rock to electronic production – the band’s members bring an exotic yet contemporary blend of Eastern melodies and Western dance rhythms. Critics describe them as a group capable of building a bridge between the past and the future of music.

Having toured almost all of Europe and increasingly performing on other continents, their visual identity and stage presence further emphasize the psychedelic dimension of their sound. Yīn Yīn are a band whose concerts erase boundaries between genres, cultures, and continents – truly not to be missed.
