Following the completion of the public call for young and emerging musicians from Serbia, the expert jury of the World Music Association of Serbia (WMAS) and the Music Information Centre Serbia (MICS) has selected four acts to perform at the final concert of the Play It! – Strengthening Cooperation in the Music Industry project. The concert will take place on Sunday, 19 July 2026, at Park Svetog Save in the Municipality of Medijana, Niš, beginning at 8:00 PM.

The audience will have the opportunity to experience performances by artists representing diverse musical styles and the new generation of Serbian songwriters and performers.

Paks is a Belgrade-based music, film, and visual arts duo consisting of Filip Pavlović and Minja Vuletić. Their distinctive sound blends pop, rock, and electronic music. They gained national recognition after winning the 9th Bunt Rock Festival and taking first prize at the Belgrade Authors' Rock Festival (BARF), where they also received the award for the Most Original Performance.

O.K.O.T., from Niš, has been developing its distinctive musical identity since 2019, combining garage rock with authentic singer-songwriter expression. Founded by singer-songwriter and street musician Mitar Zorić together with guitarist Toma Sojer, the band has become one of the most compelling names on the alternative music scene in southern Serbia thanks to its powerful and sincere live performances.

Polsky is a young alternative rock band from Belgrade led by Pavle Bulatović. The group combines contemporary rock with synth-pop influences and has attracted attention through energetic performances at festivals and concerts, including the Belgrade Beer Fest and the Youth Centre of Belgrade (Dom omladine Beograda). Their debut album, Emocije (Emotions), confirms the band's strong songwriting potential.

Maktub, also from Niš, is among the most prominent young bands on the city's alternative music scene. Their music is driven by strong original songwriting and a contemporary sound, while their lyrics reflect on today's society and the world around them. Following the release of several singles, the band is currently preparing its debut album.

The concert marks the final activity of the Play It! project, implemented by the World Music Association of Serbia with the support of the UNESCO International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD). The project aims to strengthen the capacities of young and emerging musicians, enhance cooperation among stakeholders in the music industry, and create new professional development opportunities for young artists across Serbia.

Earlier that day, at 12:30 PM, the conference hall of the Municipality of Medijana will host a professional conference dedicated to the development of Serbia's music sector. The conference will present the project's results, examples of good practice, and opportunities for improving the position of young musicians through cooperation between institutions, organizations, and music professionals.

Admission to both the conference and the evening concert is free of charge.
