Nataša Penezić (1984) is a pianist who is actively dedicated to performing music of the 20th and 21st century. She is also an assistant professor at the piano department of the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where she passionately shares her love for the music of the Modern Period with new generations of pianists.

In addition to her master’s studies which she has completed at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Nataša has also completed master’s studies at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and has successfully defended her doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.

She is the recipient of various awards and scholarships which support young talents in music and art such as Swedish Music Academy Scholarship, Dartington International Summer School Bursary Award Scheme, Eurobank EFG Scholarship, Dositeja Scholarship and Nevena Popović Award.

She was a participant in numerous music festivals both as a soloist and as a member of various chamber ensambles. Some of these festivals are Ars Musica Brussels, Klangspuren Festival, IMPULS Graz, Ghent Festival, Aarhus Festival, European Clarinet Festival Ghent, Citta di Chioggia, Aurora Festival, Ring Ring and BUNT.

Nataša’s continuous and active career of a performing musician is almost exclusively dedicated to modern and contemporary music and it inspires her to closely collaborate with composers such as Frederic Rzewski, Sofia Gubaidulina and Jasmina Mitrušić.
