Les Négresses Vertes to Perform in Belgrade on April 19, 2026 at Zappa Barka

French band Les Négresses Vertes will take the stage in Belgrade on April 19, 2026, at Zappa Barka, in an event organized by Long Play. The concert is part of their European “Zobitour”.

Formed in Paris in 1987, the band emerged from the punk scene and quickly became one of France’s most recognizable musical exports. Their genre-blending acoustic sound fuses world music, Mediterranean flair, alternative rock, punk, gypsy rhythms, and South American grooves, creating a truly unique sonic experience. Remarkably, Les Négresses Vertes achieved international success and sold millions of albums without ever singing in English.

Their debut album, “Mlah” (1988), set immediate benchmarks, and a year later, their remixes broke into the UK charts. Subsequent releases included “Famille Nombreuse” (1991), “Zigzague” (1995), and “Trabendo” (1999), after which the band embarked on a series of international tours continuing up until 2001.

Following their reunion in 2018, Les Négresses Vertes performed over 350 concerts worldwide by December 2024.

In Belgrade, the lineup will feature Stéfane Mellino (guitar, vocals), François Tousch (accordion, backing vocals), Iza Mellino (percussion, backing vocals), Michel Ochowiak (trumpet, backing vocals), Gwen Badoux (trombone, backing vocals), and Matthieu Rabaté (drums).

Tickets for the concert on April 19, 2026, at Zappa Barka are available online, as well as at Tickets outlets and the Zappa Bar box office (Kralja Petra 41).
