Muzička omladina Beograda (Jeunesses Musicales Belgrade) has launched the Serbian edition of the international “Imagine Music Experience” programme for young musicians aged 13 to 21. Applications are open until 15 August, and the winner will receive a concert produced by Muzička omladina Beograda, along with the opportunity to represent Serbia at the international finale in Brussels.

Muzička omladina Beograda has launched “Imagine Music Experience Serbia”, the national edition of the international “Imagine Music Experience” programme initiated by Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI).

The programme is open to young musicians aged 13 to 21 who perform their own original music, regardless of genre. Solo artists, bands and original music projects are all welcome to apply. The initiative aims to support young performers in their artistic development, public presentation, stage experience and international networking.

The first Serbian edition of the programme will be held online, with applications open until 15 August.

The winner of the national competition will receive a professionally produced concert organized by Muzička omladina Beograda, as well as travel expenses to attend the “Imagine Music Experience International Final”, held every December at the renowned Botanique concert venue in Brussels.

“This year we are organizing the competition online, and the winner will travel to Brussels to take part in the international final. It is a wonderful opportunity, as participants will meet young musicians from many different countries and take part in workshops organised ahead of the final event”, representatives of Muzička omladina Beograda said.

The international finale brings together young musicians from countries including North Macedonia, Hungary, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, the United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Mozambique, giving the programme a truly international character.

In addition to performing before an international jury and audience, finalists take part in workshops, mentoring sessions and networking events with professionals from the music sector.

Alongside the main prize, awards will also be presented to the second- and third-placed participants. Through “Imagine Music Experience Serbia”, Muzička omladina Beograda aims to support young songwriters and performers not only through the competition itself, but also by creating opportunities for further professional development, live performances and greater visibility on both the Serbian and international music scenes.
