The band Eyot, founded in 2008 in Niš, brings an eclectic expression, between rock and jazz, punk and ambient music, impressionism and romanticism, relying also on traditional music of the Balkans and Eastern Europe. They create the genuine mix of old and new, East and West.

Eyot has released five albums so far: “Horizon” (2010), “Drifters” (2013), “Similarity” (2014), “Innate” (2017), and “557799” (2020), as well as the DVD “Concert for Nature” (2019).

Very active on the local scene, Eyot held concerts at numerous events: Belgrade Jazz Festival, Nišville, Valjevo Jazz Festival, Novi Sad Jazz Festival, Jazziré, Jazzibar, Jazztronic…

After winning competitions such as Umbria Jazz Balkanic Windows (2009) and MIDEM off (2012), performances in about thirty countries throughout Europe and Asia followed.

Eyot’s music has received great reviews worldwide, in major music magazines and portals, as well as broadcasts on radio stations: BBC, Radio France, NDR, WNYC, etc. They also performed live on national radio stations in Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and Switzerland.

The latest album “557799” was released in October 2020 by one of America’s leading independent labels, “Ropeadope”, with worldwide distribution. The album received great reviews, and found its place among the top 10 best-selling jazz albums on Bandcamp and on several official Spotify charts.

The national platform “Serbia creates” has included the Eyot in its list of Creative Ambassadors.
