On Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 PM, a panel discussion and book promotion for “Prebojena sećanja (The Interviews I Did)” by Vladimir Stakić will take place at Multimedia Music Record Store.
Titled “Prebojena sećanja – Was there rock music after the New Wave?”, the event opens a discussion on the development of the local rock scene from the mid-1980s to the present – a period often overshadowed by the New Wave, despite bringing significant changes in music, media, and the way audiences consume content.
The focus will be on the transformation of the music scene, the influence of record labels and media, as well as the transition from analog to digital formats – from vinyl and radio to contemporary platforms.
The discussion is inspired by the book, which features 48 interviews with prominent figures of the Yugoslav and Serbian rock scene, accompanied by reflections from today’s perspective, offering valuable insight into the continuity and evolution of local music culture.
Alongside the author, the panel will include Rodoljub Stojanović, Aleksandar Žikić and Dragan Kremer, who will share different perspectives on the continuity and transformation of the domestic rock scene.
The event is conceived as an open discussion, with active audience participation through questions and exchange of opinions. Admission is free.
