The concert agency “Bad Music for Bad People” is organizing the eighth edition of the mini festival “Bad Music Boogaloo” on June 12, 2026, at Dorćol Platz in Belgrade. A special surprise is also being prepared to mark 25 years of dedication by Aleksandar Delibašić, the founder and driving force behind Bad Music for Bad People, in concert organization.

Four bands will perform: two from Serbia and two international acts – Bledoliki Odmetnik (Belgrade), The Simple Things (Novi Sad), O.R.B. (Geelong, Australia), and Guadalupe Plata (Úbeda, Spain).

Bledoliki Odmetnik is a Belgrade-based instrumental surf trio formed in 2025.

The band has already performed several notable shows in the city.

The Simple Things are a rock’n’roll quartet from Novi Sad. Formed in early 2025 out of informal jam sessions that evolved into a permanent lineup, they perform a repertoire inspired by 1960s and 1970s music.

The band members bring experience from projects such as Korozija, Ragmana, UMT, Jolly Little Bunch, Delimanos, and others. The lineup consists of Dule (keyboards, vocals), Robi (drums, vocals), Ramon (bass), and Joja (guitar).

O.R.B. come from Geelong, Australia. They are a heavy-psych power trio combining doom riffs, fused proto-metal, hard rock, psychedelic rock, and cosmic groove with elements of funk.

The band has released three albums within these stylistic directions, alongside a strong inclination toward improvisation, which makes their live performances particularly distinctive and memorable. They have also served as a regular opening act for King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard on multiple world tours.

Guadalupe Plata, a trio from Andalusia already well known to domestic audiences, has been active for over two decades.

They have released six albums and numerous singles, and five years ago issued an LP with Mike Edison, a legendary figure from the 1980s garage scene (formerly drummer of The Raunch Hands and now a rock journalist). A few listens are enough for an experienced ear to recognize the band’s distinctive sound.

Although their music draws on a wide range of influences – from local flamenco heritage, through blues legends such as Hound Dog Taylor, John Lee Hooker, and Skip James, to Ry Cooder, Marc Ribot, Captain Beefheart, spaghetti western soundtracks, and The Gun Club – the sound of Guadalupe Plata remains fresh, original, and highly authentic. It is subtle, delicate, and magical, yet also unsettling – like dreams remembered in the morning that you try to decode or hold on to.

Pedro de Dios’ guitar sings while also producing guttural and otherworldly sounds. He has been described as “Paco de Lucía with an electric guitar”. His intense guitar lines are accompanied and accentuated by Carlos Jimena, a drummer of jazz-level sensitivity and the force of Ginger Baker. The two are virtuosos who have played together for years, and their live synergy is often compared to the late Wright brothers of NoMeansNo. For this reason, their concerts are considered some of the standout rock events of the season.
