On Wednesday, March 11, Ab Re will perform at Student City Cultural Center (DKSG). The band is known for its musical and genre experiments, as well as for its tendency to collaborate with artists from various fields. Recently, they have earned the flattering label “Serbian jazz in opposition”.
Their discography currently includes three releases: “More napeto” (2020), “Aber” (2023), and “Live @ Paškanat” (2025), which was created during live-recorded studio sessions. However, throughout their 25-year-long career, the band has become known less for an extensive discography and more for their live performances.
Their approach to music, free from any rigid imperatives, has brought the band success through a series of remarkable experiences that extend beyond the realm of music. Their work also includes collaborations in theater, contemporary circus, and animated film.
The members of Ab Re view their engagement in the band as a permanent musical experiment. In addition to creating music, Ab Re aims to build a platform for broader artistic collaboration with artists from other disciplines.
The concert at Student City Cultural Center (DKSG) continues a series of promotional shows connected to their latest release, “Live @ Paškanat”, while also announcing new recording projects currently being produced alongside the band’s live activities.
The concert starts at 8:00 PM. Admission is free.
