The Hungarian D.A.S. Trio and the Novi Sad jam session band Čičini Čvorci open the “Babel Jazz” series in Novi Sad, in the Sokolski kulturni centar “Sokolski dom”, on Sunday, January 29, starting at 9 p.m.

The series of jazz concerts “Babel Jazz” in Novi Sad will last from the end of January to the end of June 2023. A total of ten concerts of the series will be held in the Sokolski cultural centre “Sokolski dom” (Ignjata Pavlasa 2-4).

The “Babel Jazz” series will be marked by the collaboration of Hungarian and Serbian musicians, both young and promising, as well as established ones. Concert programs will include jazz, free-jazz, fusion jazz, and similar musical languages…

The D.A.S. Trio was founded in Budapest in 2014, and their first self-titled album was released the following year. Their expression is mostly jazz-fusion and jazz-rock. D.A.S. Trio consists of: Abel Marton Nagy (piano, keyboards, composition, arrangement), Adam Sardi (bass guitar, double bass) and Adonis Fabry (drums).

The evening is rounded off by Čičini Čvorci (Uncle’s Starlings), a band with a recognizably good groove that always promises a great atmosphere at performances. In addition to Čiča/Uncle (Nemanja Mihailović/vocals, bassoon), in the band are also Čvorci/Starlings: Vojislav Savkov (saxophone), Boris Hložan (guitar), Marko Ćurčić (bass guitar, arrangement), Ištvan Čik (drums) and Ivan Aleksijević – Pančevac (piano).

The entrance to this evening is 300 dinars.

The “Babel Jazz” is organized by the Sokolski cultural centre “Sokolski dom”, Babel Arts, Dom Kulture and Kovači Kulture.

The names of the performers and the dates of the other upcoming concerts in this series will be announced later.
